Civic foodCommons and belonging2010

A network founded in 2010 that supports urban gardens in Bangkok and other cities with small grants, training, demonstration centres and a monthly market. It works mostly with poor communities, because people who lose their job in the city also lose their food. It says it sustains around 300 growing spaces and more than 450 projects; during the pandemic it started 210 new ones, including a rooftop run by Burmese migrant workers in Samut Sakhon. It turns growing food into a way of organising neighbours.
