A cooperative and participatory supermarket opened in 2017, run by more than 5,500 members who are at once owners, customers and volunteer workers. Each member gives three hours every four weeks to running the shop. The model prioritises local, organic and fair-trade produce with a low fixed margin, and is preparing to move to larger premises.
