Alternative Agriculture Network Isan

Yasothon · Northeast (Isan) · Thailand

Civic foodCommons and belongings. f.

Network of north-eastern small farmers defending food sovereignty against the chemical model and debt to the agricultural bank. Its groups share ecological techniques, run their own rice mill with a farmers' committee that sets the price, build green markets with consumers and keep local rice varieties. In Yasothon, its strongest base, almost half of farmers grow organically, against 1% nationwide. In 2025 it co-organised a seed and young farmers' festival there.
