PAKA, Participatory Development Knowledge Agency
Vientiane (Xaysettha) · Nationwide · Laos
A small Vientiane organisation that trains young people for four months in community facilitation, critical thinking, leadership and inclusion, plus practical management (proposals, budgets, procurement, media), and gives them micro-grants to launch projects in their communities. According to its funder Child's Dream, which has backed it since 2020, it has trained 172 young people. The format recalls PADETC's development volunteers, but continuity between the two is only a lead. It depends entirely on outside partners.
