A national network of farmers' organisations founded in 2014 as the Lao Farmer Network, which says it brings together 210 groups, associations and cooperatives with some 50,000 farmers. It offers market information, credit and training in internal governance, and supported village groups such as the bitter bamboo group of Nampheng. It lives on donor programmes and works with the Department of Agricultural Extension; in 2023 the Lao Front for National Construction studied creating an association with the same Lao name, under the party's direct leadership.
