Former workers of a bankrupt railway workshop occupied this industrial building in Rome in 2012 to avoid losing their jobs. Over time they opened the space to precarious and self-employed workers' collectives, and it now combines carpentry, metalworking and digital fabrication workshops with a collaborative and circular economy. It operates as a second-tier cooperative with no single recognised owner, which keeps its legal status in a grey area.
