Art and territoryThird placeCommons and belonging2012

The first art space and artists' collective in the southern border provinces, opened in 2012 among the rice fields of Nong Chik. It has a gallery, studios, residencies, a cafe and a prayer room built with materials donated by neighbours, and runs workshops, forums and exhibitions with local, national and foreign artists. In a region with two decades of armed conflict it works as a safe place to speak and debate; it has had police visits over the topics it hosts. KADIST grant in 2023.
