Jai Baan Studio ใจบ้านสตูดิโอ
Chiang Mai · North · Thailand
Chiang Mai architecture and landscape studio working through participatory processes on housing, heritage and environment. It has worked alongside the Mae Kha canal communities, drafted with them the canal-side land use framework agreed with CODI, and set up the urban farm on a former dump. It is the most visible civic design node in the north of the country. A tension to watch: it is a company that also takes commissions, and its role as mediator between residents and institutions has no formal mandate.
