Vivienda en los canales Lat Phrao y Prem Prachakorn บ้านมั่นคงริมคลอง
Bangkok (Khlong Lat Phrao) · Bangkok · Thailand
An extension of the Bang Bua model to the Lat Phrao and Prem Prachakorn canals, tied since 2016 to flood works: some 13,000 families in 88 informal communities. Communities redesign and rebuild their homes set back from the water with CODI loans; by March 2022, 44 projects were under way for 4,394 families. Here participation coexists with pressure: a military junta order sped up relocations in 2017, with homes of about 28 m², monthly repayments and residents who refused to move.
