Baan Mankong a escala de ciudad en Uttaradit บ้านมั่นคง อุตรดิตถ์
Uttaradit · North · Thailand
One of the city-wide Baan Mankong pilots. From 1999 Uttaradit's informal settlements began saving together, mapped every poor community and looked for room within the city for about 1,000 families, combining land sharing, reblocking, in situ upgrading and relocation. In 2003 the municipality bought land for the Boon Kook community, designed and built by groups of neighbours, and eight families built row houses for about 15 baht a day. What happened after 2005 is still unknown.
