A small municipality in the Marmilla that in 2021 launched one of Italy's first renewable energy communities, driven and funded by the town council itself with technical support from the cooperative énostra. It installed solar panels on the municipal building and the community centre, and shares the savings among around sixty members, including residents, shops and small businesses, to cut electricity bills and combat energy poverty. Sardinia is now the Italian region with the most emerging energy communities.
