Casa delle AgriCulture Tullia e Gino
Castiglione d'Otranto (Lecce) · Puglia · Italy
An association founded in 2013 in a village in the Salento to reclaim more than fifteen hectares of abandoned land lent free of charge by their owners. They grow cereals and pulses using natural methods and run, through a cooperative created in 2017, a community mill for ancient grains. The project bears the name of Tullia and Gino Girolomoni, pioneers of Italian organic farming, and defines itself through the idea of restanza, staying and regenerating instead of emigrating.
