Limans · Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur · France

Commons and belongingCivic food1973

A self-managed agricultural and craft cooperative founded in 1973 in Limans by young activists from the libertarian and Marxist traditions, following an eviction that drew international support. It practises ecological farming, breeds local livestock varieties and offers agroecological training. It is now part of a network of eleven cooperatives across Europe and Central America, with the Occitan phrase 'longo mai' (may it last a long time) as its motto.
