Add a place
The atlas grows through contributions. Propose a place from any country in the world or correct a detail of a published one. Nothing is published automatically: every submission goes through review and verification following the atlas method.
Inclusion criteria
- A physical, locatable place (platforms are located at their base).
- The community takes part in running it, or the project documents honestly who governs it.
- It is active or, if it closed or transformed, it left a documented trace to learn from.
- It fits one of the eight typologies of the atlas.
Purely commercial projects without a community dimension and initiatives without a verifiable trace stay out. Cases with tensions (gentrification, institutionalisation, conflict) do come in, with their tensions told.
Suggest a correction
Each place in the atlas has a button that brings you here with its identifier prefilled. Corrections are the most valuable part of a living atlas.
License of contributions
The atlas data is published under CC BY-SA 4.0. By contributing you accept that the information you send is published under that license, with credit to the contributor. The platform code is free (MIT).
