Reuse of vacancyCivic labs and participation2022

Former military halls of the Beaumont Chauveau barracks, occupied by the army from the late nineteenth century until 2008, refurbished and opened in March 2022 as the first third place in Tours. The 1,500 square metres are designed through co-construction with residents and associations, within a wider 10-hectare urban development in the heart of the city that will combine housing, facilities and public space.
