Hôtel Pasteur

Rennes · Bretagne · France

Reuse of vacancyCivic labs and participation2021

A former dentistry faculty from the late 19th century, without university use since 1967 and converted since March 2021 into a third place led by the Rennes council together with architect Patrick Bouchain. It combines a nursery school, an educational laboratory and a hotel for citizen projects under a shared governance model unusual for a public facility. Hospitality and the experimentation of uses are its core values.
