Gathering of Democracy R&D, an international network of organisations that design and study citizens' assemblies and other sortition-based deliberative processes, created in 2018. It moves city at each edition (Copenhagen 2023, Vancouver 2024, Brussels 2025) and brings together practitioners, academics and public officials; access largely depends on belonging to the network. No 2026 meeting has been found: the next announced gathering is a world conference in Bogotá and Brasília in June 2027, the first in the Global South.
