The Aosta Valley consorteries are institutions of collective ownership of pastures and forests, some of medieval origin, that organise communal grazing and forestry across dozens of Alpine villages. Following the 2017 state law on collective domains, the Aosta Valley created this network to pool management, offer technical support and update the model without losing its customary character. It is the Aosta Valley's equivalent of the Veneto's Regole d'Ampezzo.
