Participatory urbanismCommons and belongingDesde los años 80
Ostana, in the Piedmontese Po valley, fell from almost 1,200 residents in 1921 to just a few dozen after the exodus to the cities and France. Since the 1980s the town council and residents have restored the abandoned stone houses following Alpine architecture and Occitan culture, without new building, and it now has around 85 residents. Since 2015 the MonViso Institute has researched territorial regeneration and sustainable architecture there.
