Giardino ex Caserme Duca d'Aosta

Participatory urbanismCommons and belonging2024

In 2024, during Trento's year as European Volunteering Capital, the San Giuseppe Santa Chiara district ran a participatory process to revalue the garden of the former Caserme Duca d'Aosta. The result was a patto di collaborazione signed by fifteen bodies (associations, schools, cooperatives and informal groups) that since 2025 have looked after the garden and programmed activities in it as a bene comune. It is a recent and well-documented example of the Bologna model applied in Trento.
