Ex Asilo Filangieri L'Asilo

A former 16th-century convent and asylum occupied in 2012 by cultural workers during the Naples theatre festival. In 2015 the city council recognised, for the first time in Italy, the building's uso civico e collettivo urbano through an administrative declaration that does not make it community property but shields its self-government from commercial or institutional uses. The model was later extended to seven other liberated spaces in the city.
