After the 2016 earthquake in central Italy, Slow Food promoted in Comunanza, a municipality of around 3,000 people in the Marche Apennines, the creation of a cooperativa di comunità bringing together a social cooperative, a cultural cooperative, agricultural producers and private residents. It organises experiential tourism around the Vettore and Sibilla mountains and the Pilato lakes, as a way to rebuild the economic and social fabric beyond the simple reconstruction of housing.
