Casa del Popolo Il Progresso

Florencia (FI) · Toscana · Italy

Third placeCommons and belonging1915

The Casa del Popolo Il Progresso was founded in 1915 in the Florentine district of Rifredi as a workers' recreational society and moved in 1922 to the Villino Bianchini, where it remains today. It is one of the few Tuscan case del popolo to have maintained continuity as a circolo ARCI, with theatre, dance, music and workshops. Its history spans fascism, which renamed it, and the post-war period, which gave it back its name.
