A bocage area north of Nantes occupied since 2008 to block an airport, one of the longest territorial struggles in recent France. The State abandoned the project in January 2018 and partially evicted the zone in April. Many of those occupying it stayed on, formalising some fifteen collective farming projects, and transformed the former zad into commonly managed land, still in tension with the administration over land use.
