Le Village Vertical

The first residents' cooperative created in France in the 21st century, started in 2005 by a group of Villeurbanne residents and inhabited since 2013. The fourteen households are non-speculative collective co-owners of the ecological building, which has a common room, shared garden and guest rooms. The project helped the 2014 ALUR law give non-speculative collective ownership legal recognition in France.
