Street Delivery (Bucharest)

Bucharest, Romania

Participatory urbanism and placemakingFestivalLocal

Annual festival that for three days closed Pictor Arthur Verona street in central Bucharest to traffic and gave it back to people with workshops, urban projects and debates. It began in 2006 to push for a pedestrian-route plan and was sustained by the Romanian Order of Architects and the Cărturești Foundation. The twentieth edition was in September 2025; in 2026 the Order published a book treating it as a closed cycle (2006-2025), and no edition was held. It remains a record of citizen urbanism in the region.
