Slovenian Rural Parliament Slovenski podeželski parlament (SPP)
Slovenia
Rural life and depopulationDemocratic innovationNetwork meetingNational
National assembly of rural Slovenia, on the Swedish rural parliament model, organised since 2011 by the DRSP rural development association, closely tied to local action groups. Each edition is prepared through regional meetings and ends with proposals for rural policy; it also gives an award to the country's most successful rural community. Irregular rhythm: editions in 2017 and 2019, then the sixth in 2026. Tension: its proposals are recommendations; in 2019 the ministry said it would use them, but their real effect is hard to track.
