Annual gathering of French local authorities running participatory budgets, organised by the Réseau National des Budgets Participatifs (an association of elected officials, officers and residents) with a different host city or department each year (Nancy 2024, Nantes 2026). Two days of talks, workshops and practice exchange. It is where the evolution of a device now spread to hundreds of municipalities gets discussed, with the familiar tension between real participation and the management of minor projects. Paid registration, with some open sessions.
