Croatian Rural Parliament

Croatia

Rural life and depopulationDemocratic innovationNetwork meetingNational

National assembly of rural Croatia, lasting three to four days, convened by the HMRR rural development network in a different area each time. It follows the rural parliament model born in Sweden: local action groups, farmers, associations, researchers and public bodies debate in workshops and field visits and close with a declaration addressed to policymakers. Tension: it is co-organised with the Ministry of Agriculture and the CAP network, and the programme revolves heavily around EU funds (LEADER, CAP after 2027).
