Forum 2000 Conference Konference Forum 2000
Prague, Czechia
Democratic innovationConferenceInternational
Annual international conference held in Prague since 1997, usually in October, by the foundation set up by Václav Havel, Elie Wiesel and Yohei Sasakawa. It gathers officials, academics, activists and civil society around democratic resilience, with attention to those defending democracy against authoritarian regimes; the 2026 edition, the thirtieth, had a strand on participation and representation. Same family as the Athens Democracy Forum: more a high-level forum than a practitioners' meeting, with Nobel laureates, politicians and business figures carrying much of the weight.
