Summer gathering of the European ecovillage network (GEN Europe), held each year in a different community. For almost a week, hundreds of people live together at the host ecovillage among workshops, assemblies, visits and celebrations. It is the reference meeting for intentional communities and for people seeking collective living in rural areas. Tension: the cost (compulsory membership, ticket, food and lodging, from about 345 euros per adult in 2026) excludes many despite solidarity discounts, and the tone is more movement than open debate.
