Democratic innovationConferenceInternational

Meeting of municipalities, practitioners, researchers and organisations from Spain and Portugal working with participatory budgeting and other tools of local democracy. It began in Odemira in 2012 and alternates between the two countries (Mollina, Ponta Delgada, A Coruña, Cascais, Vic, Torres Vedras, Santiago de Compostela). It is backed by the host city, the Associação Oficina, the OIDP and Coglobal. It is the Iberian reference event for participatory budgeting; its municipal weight means there is more talk of process management than of the movements that demanded these processes.
