BEYOND, Culture Action Europe's gathering

Culture Action Europe, with a host organisation in each city

Art and territoryDemocratic innovationConferenceEuropean

Main gathering of Culture Action Europe, the European network of cultural organisations, which moves to a different city each time (Rome 2017, Timisoara 2018, Barcelona 2022, Elefsina 2023, Malmö 2024, Turin 2025). Since 2025 the central gathering is biennial, with regional meetings (Satellite BEYOND) in between. It brings together cultural associations, artists, researchers and policymakers to discuss cultural democracy, participation, accessibility and cultural policy. Tension: it is above all an advocacy forum of the cultural sector towards the EU, closer to cultural policy than to community practice.
