Annual weekend, usually in May, when residents of dozens of Budapest buildings open their gateways, courtyards and gardens and tell their house's story themselves, helped by hundreds of volunteers. Started in 2011 by the KÉK architecture centre and the Blinken OSA archive, it picks a theme each year and won a Europa Nostra award for citizen engagement in 2023. Free. Borderline case: an open-house format, but run by residents. It depends on the National Cultural Fund and crowdfunding.
