Aichi Triennale

Nagoya, Japan

Art and territoryArt festival or triennialInternational

One of Japan's largest contemporary art events, run by Aichi Prefecture every three years since 2010, anchored at the Aichi Arts Center in Nagoya with satellite venues in towns across the prefecture (Seto in 2025). It is an urban, institutional festival rather than a rural one, but each edition places works in the streets and buildings of a different city. The 2028 edition already has an artistic director (Shabbir Hussain Mustafa, appointed 24 July 2026) but no dates yet.
